Chrononaut by R.S. Cobb!

For one man, the truth may be far more shocking than he ever realized.

After being brutally attacked one morning, John is stunned to discover that his savior somehow eerily resembles himself. When a detective arrives to take on his case, John is shocked to find that the detective looks just like the man who had tried to kill him.

Just when John thinks things can’t get any worse– life throws him an unexpected twist. While working, John is knocked out after the particle accelerator explodes.

Waking up from his accident, John is desperate for answers to these uncanny events that have plagued his life. The answers become apparent as he learns that the accelerator did more than just knock him out– it gave him the ability to teleport. Everything that is unfolding defies the laws of everything he has ever known–until now.

Chrononaut is a time travel based sci-fi novella by R.S. Cobb. It’s a quick read that’s action packed with a few plot twists to keep a reader on their toes. Even though this is a novella, the story can be made better by adding a lot bit more plot & detail in order to make it a completely immersive story. Because of the rapid pacing of the book, a lot of things don’t sit right, like you want to believe what you’re reading but something just feels off.
The characters are great. We meet most of them very briefly but the main character John is an upstanding guy. (Minor spoiler) I would definitely like to see Chrononaut in another multiverse where things work out.
Overall, it’s a good & entertaining story if you are someone who likes to read about sci-fi or time travel, however, it can be a bit better plot wise.
